The United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), in cooperation with the Ifugao State University (IfSU) is organizing a Science- Policy Forum on Sustainability of the Rice Terrace Systems (Hani and Ifugao): Building Learning Alliance on the 30th July 2015 at the Hotel Jen Manila (former Traders Hotel).
The science-policy forum serves as the culmination of a 3-year project on “Developing Ecosystem-based Adaptation Strategies for Enhancing Resilience of Rice Terrace Farming Systems against Climate Change” supported by the Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research. It aims to disseminate research results of the project and solicit recommendations for further strategies and hopes to bring together experts from the science community, researchers, policy makers, community members, NGOs and other stakeholders towards stronger interaction and collaboration in translating scientific input to policy making and implementation.
