Eligibility and Application
We can only accommodate a limited number of applicants in this training programme. As such, we encourage early applicants as the allocation will be made on a first-come first served basis.
- Basic understanding of climate change, downscaling approaches and related topics is desirable
- Applicants must have excellent written and verbal English-language skills
Applicants must provide:
- A completed Application Form with photo and signature
- One Letter of Recommendation
Participants can attend Session 1, Session 2, or both sessions. Each session is USD $1,000 and attending the full training programme (Session 1 and 2) for USD $2,000. All participants are expected to pay for their own travel and living expenses in Sri Lanka.
Student Support Services and Housing
UNU-IAS and Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology will assist participants through the training programme, acknowledging that participants may experience difficulties in adjusting to a new country and culture. Participants could use the low-cost accommodation facilities arranged by SLIIT during their stay in Sri Lanka. Further information on payment and reservation would be provided to the selected participants.

CCDAA Organizing Committee will arrange your accomodation in Sri Lanka.

Cost of meal is about $30-40 /day (lunch and dineer)
With effect from 1st January 2012, all Holiday or Business travelers to Sri Lanka must have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entering in to Sri Lanka. Please visit http://www.eta.gov.lk for more information.
It is no longer possible to obtain a visa on arrival.
Fees are as follow;
South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Countries: $15
Other countries: $30
